The Beatles
Teldec contract pressing of the first German release ('center ring' near spindlehole, 'Manufactured in Germany' in runout area). Only disk 2 has been pressed by Teldec, disk 1 represents a regular EMI copy. There is another version with disc one AND two pressed by Teldec ( This one )
First copies of the first pressing were delivered with the regular black inner sleeves. Some copies came with striped white/red inners (see pics).
As these copies appear frequently in exactly the same combination on the market (disk 1: EMI, disk 2: Teldec; red/white inners; 200.000+ number) they can not be regarded as manufacturing variations.
Top opener & gatefold sleeve.
Has raised title and seven digit individual copy number (beginning with '№ ') in grey in lower right hand corner on front cover.
"Thanks to George Martin/Chris Thomas/Ken Scott/Jeff Emerick/Barry Shefield/John Smith/Richard Hamilton/Gordon House/Jeremy Banks/John Kelly/Linda Eastman/Mal/Kevin and all at number 9" (lyrics sheet).
'†© All lyrics copyright for the world by Northern Songs Ltd. England' (A7, B4, B6, C7, D3) '✱© Apple Records' (all other songs)
Eric Clapton on A7 is uncredited for contractual reasons.
Included are 4 one-sided 29x21 cm sheets with pictures of the musicians and a 12-page 12" sized booklet which can be open to a huge poster.
